The 2025 Honda Civic is a versatile lineup of compact cars that come in either hatchback or sedan configurations. This makes it a strong competitor against popular models like the Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla, and Mazda 3. The Civic is well-equipped and offers something for everyone, including hatchbacks, hybrids, and high-performance models. With a TCC Rating of 7.2 out of 10, the Civic lineup is well-balanced and offers a range of options for consumers.

One of the key updates for the 2025 Civic is the introduction of a new hybrid powertrain, which replaces the previous turbo-4 engine as the upgraded engine choice. Additionally, all Civic models receive modest styling updates that contribute to improved fuel economy across the board. The Civic is available in both sedan and hatchback body styles, with both featuring a sleek and modern design.

Inside, the Civic boasts a stylish and functional interior with a well-designed dashboard and either a 7.0- or 9.0-inch touchscreen display. The base Civic LX and Sport trims come equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that produces 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The hybrid models feature a different 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine combined with a battery pack and an electric motor for a total output of 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque.

For those looking for a sportier driving experience, the Civic Si offers a turbo-4 engine with 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque, while the track-ready Civic Type R boasts an impressive 315 hp. All models deliver a nimble and responsive driving experience with excellent steering and ride quality.

Fuel economy estimates for the 2025 Civic are impressive, with some models achieving up to 36 mpg combined with the base powertrain and an impressive 49 mpg combined with the hybrid powertrain. The Civic also features a well-crafted cabin with ample interior space and quality materials. Top-end versions come equipped with an infotainment system that includes Google built-in, while other models have a more basic setup.

In terms of safety, the Civic comes loaded with a range of crash-avoidance features including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and active lane control. It has also been named a Top Safety Pick honoree. Pricing for the 2025 Honda Civic starts at $25,345 for the base LX model and goes up to $46,690 for the high-performance Type R model. The Civic is manufactured in Alliston, Ontario, and Greensburg, Indiana.
