2025 Toyota Camry Ascent Sport review

The Toyota Camry has always been a reliable choice for those looking for a practical, comfortable, and efficient sedan. The new-generation Camry continues to build on this reputation, offering a hybrid-only powertrain that is both powerful and fuel-efficient. The mid-range Ascent Sport model, in particular, offers a well-rounded package that is worth considering.

The exterior styling of the new Camry is handsome, although it is clear that it is based on a carryover body from the previous generation. The interior of the Camry is well-built and logically laid out, with a more restrained design compared to its predecessor. The infotainment system is user-friendly and features crisp graphics, while the cloth trim on the seats is comfortable and attractive.

In terms of performance, the Camry’s hybrid powertrain is smooth and responsive, offering excellent fuel efficiency. The ride quality is plush and comfortable, with the Camry handling bumps and ruts with ease. The steering is nicely weighted, but lacks feedback, making it more suited for comfortable cruising rather than spirited driving.

Safety is a strong point for the Camry, with a five-star ANCAP safety rating and a host of advanced driver assistance features. The Camry is also cost-effective to run, with affordable servicing costs and a generous warranty.

Overall, the Toyota Camry Ascent Sport is a compelling option for those in the market for a mid-size sedan. It offers a good balance of comfort, efficiency, and practicality, making it a solid choice for daily commuting and long road trips. If you’re in the market for a reliable and efficient family sedan, the new-generation Toyota Camry is definitely worth a closer look.
