Aito recently announced the start of pre-sales for its highly anticipated M8 EV on July 25, with an initial price tag of RMB 378,000 ($52,690). The Aito M8 EV, a battery electric vehicle (BEV) version of the Aito M8, saw an overwhelming response from consumers, garnering over 15,000 pre-orders within just 72 hours of the pre-sales launch. Richard Yu, the executive director of Huawei and chairman of the consumer business group, shared this exciting news on Weibo.

Interestingly, more than 40 percent of customers opted for the unique purple exterior color option for their Aito M8 EV. The all-electric SUV is set to make its official debut in August as per Yu’s confirmation of the timeline.

The pre-sales kickstarted with a bang as the BEV variant attracted over 10,000 pre-orders within the first eight hours, as revealed by Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business.

The Aito M8 EV has been generating significant buzz in the market, with its cutting-edge features and eco-friendly design capturing the attention of electric vehicle enthusiasts. The starting price of RMB 378,000 ($52,690) positions it as a competitive player in the EV market, offering consumers a compelling choice in the electric SUV segment.

With the remarkable response received during the pre-sales phase, Aito is poised for a successful launch of the M8 EV in August. The company’s commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions is reflected in the overwhelming demand for their latest electric vehicle offering.
