At the Harmony Intelligent Mobility New Product Launch Event, AITO unveiled its latest creation, the AITO M8 large SUV. This new vehicle comes in six different trim levels, ranging in price from RMB 359,800 to RMB 449,800. The standout feature of the AITO M8 is its use of the Huawei Turing Intelligent Chassis system and a range-extended powertrain, providing a maximum combined driving range of 1526 km.

Positioned as a smart flagship SUV for families, the AITO M8 incorporates cutting-edge technologies and innovative concepts from Huawei. Safety is a top priority for this vehicle, with a seven-fold safety design that includes 81% high-strength materials in its body structure, a ten-cell aluminum alloy door sill beam, and a comprehensive safety system comprising 9 airbags and 16 safety points. The All-Direction Anti-Collision 3.0 system offers all-around safety alerts, while the redundancy design of six core systems ensures maximum safety.

Equipped with the Huawei Turing Platform, the AITO M8 boasts features like dual-chamber air suspension, the MFSS multi-modal fusion sensing system, and the Pre-Curve corner prediction system, enhancing both ride comfort and safety. The range-extended powertrain offers a thermal efficiency of 44.8% and a pure electric range of 310 km, with a combined driving range of 1526 km.

In terms of design, the AITO M8 follows AITO’s aesthetic principles of “ultimate, pure, and minimalist.” The exterior features the Kunpeng Leap Design language, with integrated Tianjing Huan Yu front headlights that offer a range of functions. The side profile includes new gesture control for contactless intelligent door opening, while the rear boasts an ISD intelligent interactive taillight design and a kick-activated tailgate.

The vehicle is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch intelligent central control screen, and a 16-inch co-pilot entertainment screen, all powered by the HarmonyOS 4 intelligent cockpit.

Intelligent driving features include a top-mounted LiDAR, high-definition visual perception cameras, and ultrasonic radars. The AITO M8 also debuts an intelligent defogging system, the HUAWEI XHUD Huawei Immersive Head-Up Display system, and an AR-HUD one-key recording function. Storage space is ample, with numerous compartments throughout the vehicle.

Powering the AITO M8 is a 1.5T range-extender system, supported by a lithium iron phosphate battery pack and a ternary lithium battery pack. The vehicle is built on the Huawei Turing Platform’s intelligent chassis system, offering road surface perception, intelligent vehicle state perception, dynamic adaptive torque control, and intelligent vehicle body coordinated control.
