BYD Denza reveals Z9 interior design sketches, launch expected in Nov

Denza, a premium brand under BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has recently unveiled interior design sketches for its upcoming sedan model, the Z9. The sketches, shared on Weibo, provide a glimpse into the Z9’s interior layout, setting the stage for its official launch.

One of the design sketches showcases a center screen in landscape orientation, accompanied by a long dashboard screen in front of the steering wheel. The design hints at a modern and sleek interior layout for the Z9. Additionally, the sketch reveals that two out of the three rear seats feature wide leg rests, emphasizing comfort as a key feature of the sedan.

While the design sketches offer a preview of the Z9’s interior, it remains uncertain if the final product will mirror these initial concepts. Denza has been building anticipation for the Z9’s launch, with pre-sales for the Z9GT variant already underway since August 20. The Z9GT is available in both plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) configurations, catering to different consumer preferences.

Following the success of the Z9GT, Denza introduced the Z9 sedan model, which is expected to hit the market soon. The Z9 is slated for release in the fourth quarter of this year, with deliveries set to commence shortly after. Zhao Changjiang, Denza’s head of sales, recently hinted at an imminent launch date for the Z9, urging enthusiasts to stay tuned for more updates.

In preparation for the Z9’s debut, Denza released details from a regulatory filing that shed light on the sedan’s exterior dimensions and core specifications. The Z9 measures 5,220 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,500/1,518 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Powered by three electric motors with varying peak power outputs, the Z9 promises a dynamic driving experience for users.

As Denza gears up for the official launch of the Z9 sedan, automotive enthusiasts and electric vehicle aficionados eagerly await the unveiling of this innovative model.
