Fang Cheng Bao, a subsidiary of BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has recently unveiled its latest offering, the Tai 3 SUV, marking the brand’s foray into the family SUV market. Priced at a competitive starting price of RMB 133,800 ($18,300), the Tai 3 is the most affordable model in Fang Cheng Bao’s lineup, expanding its product range from off-road SUVs to cater to a wider audience.

The Tai 3 comes in five different variants, including both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options. The entry-level model has seen a price reduction of RMB 6,000 from the initial pre-sales price, making it more accessible to consumers. With a sleek design and spacious interior, the Tai 3 offers seating for five passengers and boasts dimensions of 4,605 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,745 mm.

As Fang Cheng Bao’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Tai 3 sets a new milestone for the brand. It is equipped with an electric motor that delivers impressive performance, with the rear-wheel-drive version capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 7.9 seconds. The four-wheel-drive version offers even more power, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.

One of the standout features of the Tai 3 is its impressive range of 501 kilometers, made possible by different battery pack capacities across the variants. The model supports fast charging with a power of up to 237 kW, allowing for a quick charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

In addition to its performance capabilities, the Tai 3 comes equipped with BYD’s advanced God’s Eye C smart driving system, offering driver assistance functions for a safer and more convenient driving experience. The model is built on Fang Cheng Bao’s dedicated smart EVO electric platform, designed to handle various driving scenarios with ease.
