ENSO Launches New Premium EV Tire Line in UK and US

ENSO, a UK-based EV tire specialist, has recently introduced a new premium range of ultra-high performance (UHP) tires specifically designed for passenger electric vehicles. This new tire lineup is set to hit the US market soon, offering Tesla owners and other high-performance EV drivers access to cutting-edge tire technology.

ENSO prides itself on being the “world’s first tire company dedicated exclusively to EVs.” By adopting a direct-to-consumer sales model, the company aims to reduce overall ownership costs for customers while providing tires that enhance EV range and minimize pollution.

In a strategic move last fall, ENSO partnered with Uber on an international level to supply its EV rideshare drivers with low-emission tires. As the only Certified B-Corporation in the tire industry, ENSO is committed to employing more sustainable practices to drive positive change in the global economy, benefiting both people and the planet.

To further its mission, ENSO has unveiled a new Premium line of EV tires tailored to meet the unique demands of all-electric driving. These innovative tires are soon to be available in the US, expanding the company’s product offerings to a wider audience.

According to ENSO, the Premium line of EV tires is now accessible to customers in the UK, with plans to release them to US drivers this summer. These ultra-high performance tires boast an A/A EU-label rating, signifying top-tier energy efficiency and wet grip performance.

ENSO emphasizes that its Premium EV tires deliver unmatched energy efficiency and safety within their class. Designed to cater to vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, these tires are engineered to enhance total cost of ownership, reduce tire pollution, lower manufacturing emissions, and minimize energy consumption during driving. Gunnlaugur Erlendsson, co-founder and CEO of ENSO, states:

“ENSO’s mission has always been to accelerate EV adoption by making tires that enhance rather than compromise electric performance. With ENSO Premium, we’re plugging a long-standing gap in the tire market by offering EV drivers a purpose-built, affordable, premium, and sustainable EV tire alternative that matches the innovation of their EV.”

When developing its Premium EV tires, ENSO focused on aligning with its drivers’ performance and sustainability values, particularly those driving Tesla models. These tires were crafted to reduce rolling resistance, extend range, and withstand wear and tear better than traditional tires, considering the added weight of EVs due to their large battery packs. The outcome is a tire that enables fewer charging stops, decreased energy consumption, and reduced overall tire pollution – all crucial elements for the burgeoning sustainable electric mobility sector.

US drivers will have the opportunity to purchase the Premium line of EV tires this summer through wholesalers, independent retailers, and directly from the company’s website. Stay tuned for more updates on ENSO’s innovative tire offerings as they continue to drive the EV industry forward.
