Great Wall Motor (“GWM”) has reported strong sales growth in July, with a total of 104,372 vehicles sold, representing a 14.34% increase compared to the same period last year. The company has experienced notable momentum in its electrified and premium lineups, with sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) increasing by 43.27% year-on-year to reach 34,593 units. Additionally, models priced above 200,000 yuan saw a significant jump of 46.69% in sales, totaling 33,511 units for the month. Overseas sales also performed well, reaching 41,088 units, an increase of 7.6% from last year.

In the first seven months of 2025, GWM sold a total of 674,161 vehicles, marking a 3.57% year-on-year growth. NEV sales during this period reached 195,007 units, while overseas sales totaled 238,746 units.

The HAVAL brand, a subsidiary of GWM, achieved sales of 56,221 vehicles in July, a 6.19% increase from the previous year. The popular “Big Dog” lineup continued its strong performance, maintaining monthly sales above 10,000 units for the 14th consecutive month. The recently launched 2026 HAVAL Big Dog received an overwhelming response, with over 20,000 unit orders within the first 24 hours of its release.

WEY, another brand under GWM, saw a remarkable surge in NEV sales, with 10,045 units sold in July, representing a staggering 263.29% year-on-year growth. The WEY Lanshan SUV also achieved a production milestone, with the 100,000th unit rolling off the assembly line last month.

The TANK SUV, another popular model from GWM, recorded sales of 20,020 units in July, a 7.16% increase compared to the same period last year. The introduction of the TANK 500 in a unique “Dunhuang Green” finish further added to the brand’s appeal in the market.

The brand has also made significant strides in export sales, with over 35,000 vehicles exported from January to July.

Overall, GWM’s strong performance in July reflects the company’s continued success in the market, driven by its diverse lineup of electrified and premium vehicles. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, GWM remains a key player in the automotive industry.
