Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) experienced a significant decline in vehicle deliveries for the second consecutive month, with July numbers down 39.74 percent year-on-year. The company delivered 30,731 vehicles last month, marking a 15.29 percent decrease from the previous month.
In the first seven months of 2025, Li Auto delivered a total of 234,669 vehicles, reflecting a 2.21 percent decline compared to the same period in the previous year. Since its inception, the company has delivered a total of 1,368,541 vehicles.
A notable development for Li Auto in July was the launch of its first all-electric SUV, the Li i8. Priced at RMB 321,800 ($44,610), this six-seat model is set to begin deliveries on August 20. The introduction of the Li i8 adds to Li Auto’s existing lineup, which includes models like the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, Li L9, and Li Mega.
In comparison, Li Auto’s domestic competitor, Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO), recently launched the L90 large electric SUV under its sub-brand Onvo. The Onvo L90, priced at RMB 265,800, comes with an 85-kWh battery pack and deliveries began in August.
As of July 31, Li Auto operates 535 retail stores in 153 cities and 527 service centers in 222 cities. Additionally, the company has 3,028 supercharging stations in China equipped with 16,671 charging stalls to support its growing customer base.
The decline in delivery numbers for Li Auto highlights a challenging period for the company, but the launch of new models like the Li i8 signals its commitment to innovation and expansion in the competitive electric vehicle market.
