Mobilize Duo Review 2024, Price & Specs

The Mobilize Duo: A User-Friendly Electric Vehicle for Shared Mobility

Described by Mobilize as being “as simple to use as a smartphone”, the Duo is designed to cater to both private customers and shared mobility operators like ZipCar or Enterprise. With a focus on functionality and ease of use, the interior of the Duo is intentionally basic yet practical.

With just eight buttons on the dashboard, the Duo is quick to get accustomed to. The steering wheel and side stalks sourced from Renault provide a sense of familiarity, while the clear TFT display in front of the driver shows essential information such as battery percentage and road speed. Additionally, a standard-fit phone holder allows for easy navigation without the need for a separate screen.

Despite its minimalist design, the Duo features some design elements that add a touch of flair. The orange dashboard, inspired by 1980s boomboxes, textured surfaces, and matching decals give the interior a unique and eye-catching look.

When it comes to comfort and practicality, the Duo offers mixed results. While the central driving position provides good visibility, the large A-pillars create significant blind spots. The seating position may not be ideal for taller individuals, with limited legroom for rear passengers. However, the 300 liters of storage space and the ability to accommodate two suitcases beside the driver’s seat make it a practical option for short trips.

On the downside, the inability to fully open the windows can be a drawback, especially for those considering opting for air conditioning as an optional extra. The interior plastics may feel cheap, but they are durable and easy to clean, while the interchangeable rocker switches add a playful touch to the dashboard.

Overall, the Mobilize Duo offers a user-friendly and practical electric vehicle option for shared mobility services. With its focus on simplicity and functionality, it aims to cater to a wide range of customers while providing a comfortable and convenient driving experience.
