Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio, has recently unveiled its flagship SUV, the L90, at the 2025 Shanghai auto show. This impressive model boasts the largest frunk of any vehicle currently available in China, providing ample storage space for drivers and passengers alike. Measuring at 5,145 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,786 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm, the Onvo L90 is a three-row SUV that can comfortably accommodate seven people.

One of the standout features of the L90 is its spacious frunk, which can hold up to 240 liters of storage space. This frunk is not only practical but also stylish, with one-touch opening and closing functionality as well as the ability to open with two consecutive finger taps. The integration of components within the frunk, including Nio’s thermal management module, sets the L90 apart from other models on the market.

The official launch date for the Onvo L90 is yet to be announced, but it is expected to go on sale later this year. This model follows the success of Onvo’s first SUV, the L60, and will be the first model released under the leadership of Shen Fei, who recently took over as president of the Nio sub-brand.

In addition to the L90, Onvo is also gearing up to launch its third model, the L80, in the fourth quarter of this year. This upcoming release was confirmed by Nio founder and CEO, William Li, during a media briefing for Nio and the sub-brand Firefly. The L80 will join the lineup of innovative and high-performance vehicles offered by Onvo.

Powering the Onvo L90 are motors produced by Nio’s motor division, XPT, with both single and dual motor options available. The battery options for the L90 include lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell and lithium ternary options from suppliers such as BYD, CATL, and CALB. With a standard battery pack capacity of 85 kWh, the Onvo L90 offers impressive performance and range for drivers.

Overall, the Onvo L90 represents a new era of luxury and innovation in the SUV market, with its spacious frunk, integrated components, and cutting-edge technology setting it apart from the competition. Stay tuned for more updates on the official launch of this exciting new model from Onvo.
