BYD’s Denza has unveiled the latest details on the Z9 sedan, including color options, specifications, and pre-sale pricing. The highly anticipated Z9 will make its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 15, with a limited-time starting price of 334,800 yuan (approximately 47,100 USD). Positioned as a flagship luxury model alongside the Z9 GT wagon, the Denza Z9 will be available in fully electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants.

The Z9 will be offered in four stunning body colors – starry black, starlight gray, midnight purple, and moonlit beige – as well as two interior schemes in beige and brown. With a substantial 5.2-meter body and a 3,125 mm wheelbase, the Z9 boasts a stretched and streamlined profile, enhanced by chrome-plated, multi-spoke rims for a touch of sophistication. Its front and rear styling feature elements such as a continuous bonnet line, slanted A-pillars, and a large diffuser at the back.

Denza will provide the Z9 in both PHEV and BEV configurations. The PHEV model combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine producing 152 kW (204 hp) with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 640 kW (858 hp) and a mixed range of up to 1,100 km. On the other hand, the BEV version features three electric motors with a combined power output of 710 kW (951 hp) and a 100 kWh battery for a range of up to 630 km. The Z9 also incorporates Denza’s Yi-Sanfang technology, offering advanced maneuverability modes like precision turning, compass U-turn, and intelligent crab-walking.

Inside the Z9, a series of digital displays await, including a 13.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, a 3.2-inch passenger display, and additional screens for rearview mirror adjustments and climate control. Rear passengers are treated to dedicated screens mounted on the front seats for personalized climate controls. The model also features a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display, wireless phone chargers, and a Devialet audio system with up to 26 speakers.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Z9 makes its official debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
