The success of the Xiaomi SU7 sedan has been remarkable, with 88,063 orders received in its first month on the market and 7,058 units delivered in April. Lei Jun highlighted Xiaomi’s efficient execution and engineering capabilities, leading to over 15,000 deliveries within two months. To keep up with the high demand, Xiaomi EV’s factory will operate on a double-shift schedule starting in June, aiming for 10,000-unit deliveries this month and a target of at least 100,000 units by the end of 2024, with a stretch goal of 120,000 units annually.

Lei Jun emphasized the importance of smart electric vehicles, which integrate automotive, electric, and intelligent technologies. He noted that while the industry has focused on the electric aspect in the past decade, the current emphasis is on intelligence. With Xiaomi’s expertise in smart technology, Lei Jun expressed confidence in the company’s ability to excel in this complex field.

Currently, Xiaomi EV’s intelligent driving system has an active usage rate of over 83% and has covered a total driving distance of 3.6286 million kilometers. By the end of May, Xiaomi had introduced urban NOA features in ten cities, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the automotive sector.
