Zeekr launches 009 MPV, opens 500th global store in Singapore

Zeekr, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently launched the Zeekr 009 MPV in Singapore, marking its second model introduction in the country following the successful debut of the Zeekr X. The company’s expansion in Singapore includes the opening of its 500th global store, showcasing its commitment to international growth and market presence.

The Zeekr 009 MPV is now available in Singapore in two variants, a 7-seater and a 6-seater, with prices starting at SGD 409,900 and SGD 419,900 respectively. In comparison, the regular Zeekr 009 in China offers three variants with prices starting at RMB 439,000. Additionally, Zeekr also offers the premium Zeekr 009 Grand model in China, starting at RMB 789,000.

The higher prices of Zeekr vehicles in Singapore compared to China can be attributed to the additional costs associated with car ownership in the city-state, including the Certificate of Entitlement (COE). Despite the price disparity, Zeekr remains committed to offering high-quality electric vehicles to the Singaporean market.

The launch of the Zeekr 009 follows the successful introduction of the Zeekr X compact SUV in Singapore earlier this year. The Zeekr X is available in two variants in Singapore, with prices starting at SGD 199,900 for the standard version and SGD 214,900 for the flagship version. In China, the Zeekr X is offered in four variants with prices ranging from RMB 149,000 to RMB 179,000.

With the opening of its 500th global store in Singapore, Zeekr continues to expand its presence in key international markets. The company plans to open more stores worldwide by the end of the year, with a projected total of 520 global stores. Zeekr’s global expansion strategy includes entering over 40 international markets, including Sweden, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and Egypt.

Zeekr’s entry into the Singaporean automotive market was facilitated by a partnership agreement with Premium Auto, a Singapore-based dealer, signed in December 2023. This strategic partnership has enabled Zeekr to establish a strong foothold in Singapore and introduce its innovative electric vehicles to a new audience.

As Zeekr continues to accelerate its global expansion efforts, the company remains dedicated to delivering cutting-edge electric vehicles to customers around the world. With a growing network of global stores and a diverse portfolio of electric vehicles, Zeekr is poised to make a significant impact on the international automotive market.
