Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has reached a significant milestone with the first production vehicles of its new model, the Zeekr Mix, rolling off the assembly line. The highly anticipated MPV model is set to be officially launched in just two days, marking a new chapter for Zeekr in the EV market.
The company made the exciting announcement on Weibo, showcasing images of the Zeekr Mix production line and building anticipation for the upcoming launch event scheduled for October 23. The model’s showcase vehicle has already been on display in Zeekr showrooms since October 18, giving customers a sneak peek at what’s to come.
The Zeekr Mix is based on the innovative SEA-M architecture, a derivative of Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), which was unveiled at the 2024 Beijing auto show. With an investment of over RMB 7 billion yuan ($980 million) in the architecture, Zeekr has prioritized ultimate space, vehicle safety, and quick handling to deliver a superior driving experience.
Designed to redefine family mobility, the Zeekr Mix was first previewed by Zeekr in March and officially entered the regulatory filing catalog in China in March. The model boasts impressive dimensions, with a length of 4,688 mm, width of 1,995 mm, height of 1,755 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,008 mm.
One of the standout features of the Zeekr Mix is its front seats that can be electrically swiveled to support a 270-degree rotation, making it the world’s first mass-produced car to offer this unique functionality. Zeekr has also garnered attention by showcasing how passengers can enjoy hot pot in the model while parked, creating a buzz in the market.
Zeekr, established in 2021, already offers a range of EV models including the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X, and Zeekr 7X, catering to both niche and mainstream markets. The Zeekr Mix represents a new venture for Zeekr, entering a market segment with no similar products currently available in China.
