2025 Dodge Hornet’s starting price slashed to $31,590

Inflation Up, but Dodge Lowers Prices on 2025 Hornet

Inflation may be up, but Dodge must not have gotten the memo. The automaker has just lowered the starting price of its 2025 Hornet, making the sporty subcompact crossover a more tempting option for budget-conscious performance enthusiasts.

As of March 6, the entry-level GT model now starts at $31,590, a $1,745 drop from the previous price. Meanwhile, pricing for other trims remains unchanged: the GT Plus starts at $36,885, the R/T at $43,240, and the R/T Plus at $48,585. All figures include a $1,595 destination charge.

Despite the price cut, Dodge hasn’t skimped on features. The GT still comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and 17-inch wheels, among other amenities.

Under the hood, the GT lacks the plug-in hybrid system of the R/T models but still packs a punch with its 2.0-liter turbo-4, which delivers 268 hp through a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system. That setup gets the Hornet GT from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds.

For those craving more performance, the R/T’s plug-in hybrid system bumps power up to 288 hp and offers a short electric-only driving range. But the real excitement is still to come—Dodge has confirmed a new Hornet GLH for later this year. The GLH (“Go Like Hell”) name is a throwback to the Carroll Shelby-influenced Dodge Omni GLH of the 1980s, promising an even hotter version of the Hornet for enthusiasts.
