The Honda Ridgeline is a pickup truck that may just be the perfect fit for your needs, especially if you don’t require heavy towing capabilities or off-road performance on a regular basis. With a comfortable ride quality that sets it apart from other midsize trucks on the market, the Ridgeline earns high marks in this department.

One of the standout features of the Ridgeline is that all-wheel drive comes standard, providing added traction and stability in various driving conditions. While it may not have a low range like some other trucks, the TrailSport model offers a higher-riding suspension and all-terrain tires that should be sufficient for light-duty trails.

In terms of performance, the Ridgeline is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers a smooth driving experience. However, with 280 hp on tap and a 9-speed automatic transmission that prioritizes fuel efficiency, the Ridgeline may not feel very quick, especially when compared to other trucks in its class. The engine’s power is mainly concentrated in the higher rev range, requiring a bit more effort to keep up with highway traffic.

When it comes to towing and hauling capabilities, the Ridgeline can handle a 5,000-pound trailer or up to 1,500 pounds of cargo in the bed. While these figures may be lower than some competitors, they are sufficient for most everyday hauling needs. The Ridgeline’s fully independent suspension contributes to its superior ride quality, with limited side-to-side movement over rough surfaces and the ability to absorb bumps with ease.

On the highway, the Ridgeline continues to impress with its stability and handling. The electric power steering provides a good amount of feedback, while the truck exhibits minimal body lean when taking corners at speed. While it may not be the most athletic truck in its class, the Ridgeline offers a polished driving experience that is sure to satisfy most drivers.

Overall, if you’re in the market for a versatile and comfortable pickup truck that excels in everyday driving situations, the Honda Ridgeline is definitely worth considering. Its combination of practicality, performance, and ride comfort make it a top contender in the midsize truck segment.
