The Hyundai Ioniq 6 Gets a Sporty Facelift
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 has undergone a significant transformation with a new facelift that brings a sporty new look to the electric saloon. Less than three years after its debut, the Ioniq 6 has shed its prominent ducktail rear wing and introduced a new N Line variant, inspired by Hyundai’s performance cars.
The redesign of the Ioniq 6 draws influence from the race-inspired RN22e concept car, which previewed the upcoming hot Ioniq 6 N set to be unveiled later this year.
Unveiled at the Seoul motor show in Korea, the new Ioniq 6 boasts “more refined curves and enhanced proportions for a sleek and beautifully balanced silhouette.” The car’s wind-cheating proportions remain largely unchanged, but the front end has been updated with a sharper profile and a prominent splitter that enhances aerodynamics.
The headlights have been replaced with slim LED units featuring a pixel motif, similar to the design seen in the newer Ioniq 9 SUV. The black lower body highlights the car’s aerodynamic shape, while the rear end sports a chrome-trimmed bumper and a subtle extended boot lip in place of the previous ducktail rear wing.
Inside, the cabin of the Ioniq 6 has received minor updates, including a redesigned steering wheel and reorganized center console controls for improved usability. New door trim materials and a larger climate control display add to the overall refinement of the interior.
Adding to the lineup is the new Ioniq 6 N Line, featuring styling cues from Hyundai’s N performance range. This variant stands out with its aggressive front end, sporty wheels, and contrasting black accents that give it a more dynamic appearance.
