Geely Auto Group Reports Impressive 25% Year-on-Year Growth in January 2025 Vehicle Sales
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (“Geely Auto Group” or “the Group”) has announced that it achieved a significant milestone in January 2025, with a total automobile sales volume of 266,737 units. This marks a remarkable 25% increase compared to the same period last year.

The highlight of the sales report is the performance of new energy vehicles (NEVs), which accounted for 121,071 units sold in January. This segment experienced an impressive year-on-year growth of 83.9%. Within the NEV category, sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) saw significant increases of 120.3% and 39.2% respectively.
In addition, the Group also reported a positive trend in export volume, with 26,793 vehicles shipped internationally in January 2025, representing a 2% year-on-year increase.
Breaking down the sales by brand and product range, Geely-branded vehicles accounted for 224,718 units, marking a 30% year-over-year growth. The Galaxy range of new energy vehicles performed exceptionally well, with 93,545 units sold and a remarkable 134% year-on-year increase. ZEEKR recorded sales of 11,942 units, while Lynk & Co saw a 7% increase in sales with 30,077 vehicles sold in January.
Looking ahead to the rest of 2025, Geely Auto Group has set ambitious targets for overall vehicle sales. The Group aims to achieve a year-on-year growth of 25%, with total sales projected to reach 2.71 million units. Geely, ZEERK, and Lynk & Co brands are expected to contribute 2 million units, 320,000 units, and 390,000 units respectively.
