Zeekr, the renowned electric vehicle (EV) maker, has made an exciting announcement regarding its upcoming full-size SUV, the Zeekr 9X. This ultra-luxury SUV will be showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show in late April, with deliveries set to commence in the third quarter of 2025.

In addition to the Zeekr 9X, the company also unveiled the Zeekr 9X Grand, a premium version of the model that may carry a price tag exceeding RMB 1 million ($137,840). This move signifies Zeekr’s commitment to offering high-end, luxury vehicles to cater to the discerning needs of its customers.

The Zeekr 9X will be a global flagship ultra-luxury SUV and will be the first model to feature Zeekr’s innovative super electric hybrid technology. This marks a significant milestone for the brand as it expands its product offerings beyond traditional battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to include plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models.

This strategic shift aligns with the evolving market trends in the EV industry, where manufacturers are increasingly diversifying their portfolios to appeal to a broader customer base. Zeekr’s decision to introduce hybrid models reflects its adaptability and foresight in meeting the changing demands of the market.

The Zeekr 9X is powered by Nvidia’s Drive Thor autonomous driving chip and boasts cutting-edge electric-hybrid powertrain technology. The vehicle is designed to deliver superior performance and efficiency, setting it apart from other PHEVs in the market.

Furthermore, Zeekr has announced plans to launch three new models in 2025, with a focus on expanding its lineup to include a diverse range of offerings. This includes a full-size flagship SUV in the third quarter and a mid-to-large luxury SUV in the fourth quarter, available in both BEV and PHEV variants.

The Zeekr 9X Grand will join the existing Zeekr 009 Grand in the brand’s “Grand family,” catering to the premium segment with ultra-luxury products and experiences. This expansion of the Zeekr lineup underscores the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality and sophistication to its customers.

In conclusion, Zeekr’s introduction of the Zeekr 9X and the Zeekr 9X Grand represents a significant milestone in the brand’s evolution. With a focus on innovation, luxury, and performance, Zeekr continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology and redefine the standards of excellence in the industry. Stay tuned for more updates on Zeekr’s upcoming models and advancements in hybrid technology.
