Great Wall Motor news – Gasgoo

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has reported its sales figures for 2024, showing a slight year-on-year growth of 0.21%. In total, the Chinese automaker sold 1,233,292 vehicles throughout the year. Of these sales, the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector saw a significant increase, with 321,795 units sold, marking a 22.82% growth from the previous year.

Moreover, GWM experienced a surge in its overseas market business, selling 453,141 vehicles in 2024, which represents a 43.39% increase compared to the previous year. Both the NEV and overseas sales set new records for the company in 2024.

In terms of high-priced vehicles, GWM sold 309,588 units priced over 200,000 yuan, reflecting a 37.13% increase from the previous year. December alone saw a total sales volume of 135,286 vehicles, including 42,265 NEVs. The company’s overseas sales for the month reached 41,293 units.

Breaking down the sales performance by specific brands, HAVAL led the pack with 706,234 vehicles sold in 2024, despite a 1.25% decline from the previous year. The WEY brand saw a notable increase, selling 54,728 vehicles, marking a 31.55% growth from the previous year. Both Great Wall Pick-up and ORA brands experienced a decline in annual sales, while TANK saw a significant 42.12% increase, selling 231,001 vehicles.

Looking at the single-month performance, HAVAL, Great Wall Pick-up, and ORA brands experienced a decrease in sales compared to the previous year, while WEY and TANK saw double-digit growth.

Overall, GWM’s sales performance in 2024 showcased growth in various segments, with the company setting new records in both the NEV sector and overseas markets. The company’s diverse brand portfolio contributed to its overall success, with notable increases in sales for certain brands.
