Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY), is setting its sights higher for 2025 with a revised target of 350,000 unit deliveries. This increase of 50,000 units, or 16.67 percent, from its previous target of 300,000 units showcases the company’s commitment to expanding its reach in the EV market.
CEO Lei Jun shared the news on Weibo, emphasizing the progress made in ramping up production capacity to meet the growing demand for Xiaomi EV vehicles. The company’s efforts have not gone unnoticed, with the recent milestone of delivering the 200,000th vehicle further highlighting its upward trajectory.
One of Xiaomi EV’s standout models, the SU7 electric sedan, has been a key player in the company’s success. Launched in March 2024 as a competitor to Tesla’s Model 3, the SU7 comes in three variants – Standard, Pro, and Max – with varying price points to cater to different consumer needs.
The popularity of the SU7 is evident in the impressive number of locked-in orders and deliveries, with demand remaining strong even a year after its launch. The recent introduction of the SU7 Ultra, with enhanced horsepower and performance, has further expanded Xiaomi EV’s offerings to meet the evolving preferences of electric vehicle enthusiasts.
To support its ambitious growth plans, Xiaomi EV has been actively working on boosting production capacity. The company’s factory in Beijing, with an initial annual capacity of 150,000 units, is a testament to its commitment to scale operations and meet the rising demand for its vehicles.
Looking ahead, Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of the YU7 electric SUV, expected to hit the market in the coming months. With a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Xiaomi EV is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive EV landscape.
As Xiaomi EV continues to raise the bar in the electric vehicle market, its latest delivery target of 350,000 units for 2025 reflects the company’s unwavering dedication to driving the future of sustainable mobility.
