Shen Fei confirms he begins Onvo president role

Shen Fei, one of Nio’s earliest core management members, has recently been appointed as the new president of Nio’s sub-brand Onvo, replacing Alan Ai. Shen’s new role was confirmed in a post on the Onvo App, where he expressed his excitement about taking on this new challenge and leading the brand to greater heights.

Having been deeply involved in building Nio Power’s service network, Shen brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position. He emphasized his commitment to enhancing service delivery and creating an efficient marketing system to attract more customers to Onvo. Shen also highlighted the importance of leveraging the existing community of over 700,000 Nio and Onvo owners to raise awareness about the brand and its offerings.

Shen praised Onvo’s current lineup of vehicles, including the popular L60 midsize SUV and the upcoming L90 mid-to-large size SUV, as some of the most desirable cars of this era. The L60, launched last year, has already made a mark in the market, while the highly anticipated L90 is set to be unveiled at the Shanghai auto show later this month.

The leadership transition at Onvo comes as a result of Alan Ai’s decision to step down from his role as president. Ai cited the underperformance of the Onvo L60 in terms of sales as a key factor in his departure. Shen’s appointment as president of Onvo marks a new chapter for the brand, with him now reporting to Nio co-founder and president, Qin Lihong.

Shen’s extensive experience at Nio, having joined the company in 2015, positions him well to lead Onvo to continued success in the competitive EV market. As he takes on this new role, Shen is determined to steer Onvo towards greater growth and success, building on the foundation laid by his predecessors.

With Shen at the helm, Onvo is poised to capitalize on the growing demand for electric vehicles and solidify its position as a leading player in the industry. The brand’s focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable mobility solutions will undoubtedly drive its success under Shen’s leadership.
