GAC-Honda has finally launched its strategic model, the Honda P7, which is built on a brand-new pure electric architecture. The P7 was initially unveiled in 2024 but was officially launched on April 15, 2025. This delayed launch raised doubts in the industry about GAC Honda’s electrification progress. The Honda P7 is a mid-size SUV built on Honda’s pure electric e:N Architecture W, with dimensions of 4750×1930×1625mm and a wheelbase of 2930mm, positioning it between the Tesla Model Y and the NIO ES6. GAC Honda offers three models of the P7, with prices ranging from 199,900 to 249,900 yuan. The mid-size SUV is powered by electricity and offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, with a CLTC range of up to 650 kilometers for the rear-wheel drive version and 620 kilometers for the all-wheel drive version.

In terms of exterior design, the GAC Honda P7 features a wide-body, low-slung sporty style that combines futurism and practicality. The front of the P7 is adorned with a full-width LED light strip, slender C-shaped headlight clusters, and a large smoked black surround, giving it a modern and visually striking appearance. The interior of the P7 retains Honda’s brand elements while enhancing technology and luxury. The center console houses a dual-screen layout with a 12.8-inch central control screen and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, with some models equipped with additional displays for a more sophisticated driving experience.

The Honda P7 is equipped with a 90kWh high-energy-density ternary lithium battery pack supplied by CATL, offering a combined CLTC range of 650 kilometers. The P7 comes in two power configurations: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The dual-motor all-wheel drive version boasts a total system power of 350kW, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds, providing a thrilling driving experience.

Charging the P7 is convenient with support for 150kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The vehicle also features the Honda SENSING 360+ safety super-sensing system, with advanced safety functions such as Highway Driving Assist and Driver Anomaly Response System.

In summary, the Honda P7 offers safety redundancy, practical space, and an exceptional driving experience. With its comprehensive safety features, spacious interior, and impressive performance, the P7 is set to make a mark in the electric vehicle market.
