Maextro, a new automotive brand created through a partnership between Huawei and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), is gearing up for the launch of its first model, the Maextro S800. Set to hit the luxury sedan market in May, the Maextro S800 is expected to compete in the RMB 1 million ($137,070) class.

Images of the interior of the Maextro S800 have recently been shared by the brand on Weibo, revealing a sleek and modern design. The vehicle boasts three connected screens in the front, offering a high-tech and luxurious driving experience. Additionally, the images showcase a four-seater model with a unique star-effect roof, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design.

As part of Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business, Maextro is the fourth new brand launched by Huawei in collaboration with a local carmaker. Positioned as the most high-end brand under the HIMA umbrella, Maextro aims to make a strong statement in the competitive automotive market.

The Maextro S800 was officially unveiled by Huawei on November 26, with an expected price range between RMB 1 million and RMB 1.5 million. Richard Yu, Huawei’s managing director, announced that the model is scheduled for launch at the end of May, building anticipation for its arrival.

The Maextro S800 will be available in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants. Both versions share the same dimensions, offering a choice between a 4-seat or 5-seat configuration. The EREV variant will be powered by an 800V high-voltage battery pack with a capacity of 65 kWh, supporting fast charging for quick and convenient recharging.
