Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) experienced a notable surge in deliveries last month, as the Nio main brand displayed improved performance. In April, the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer delivered a total of 23,900 vehicles, marking its second-highest delivery figure ever, trailing behind December 2024’s record of 31,138 units.

This impressive delivery result represents a 53.01% increase from the 15,620 units delivered in the same month last year and a significant uptick of 58.92% from the 15,039 units delivered in March. Specifically, the Nio main brand, which targets the premium market segment, delivered 19,269 vehicles in April, reflecting a 23.36% year-on-year increase and an impressive 88.56% surge from the previous month.

Onvo, the mass-market brand catering to the family market, delivered 4,400 vehicles in April, which was a slight decrease of 8.71% from March’s figure of 4,820 units. Additionally, the newly launched Firefly brand delivered 231 units in April. This sub-brand’s first model was introduced on April 19, with initial deliveries commencing on April 29.

From January to April, Nio Inc delivered a total of 65,994 vehicles, marking a 44.49% year-on-year increase. The company has set its sights on doubling its deliveries in 2025 compared to the previous year. Onvo delivered 19,181 vehicles during the same period. The brand officially launched its first model, the L60, on September 19, 2024, with deliveries of the electric SUV beginning on September 28. Firefly offers a unique driving experience, characterized by freedom and innovation. Following its product launch, Firefly initiated deliveries in China in late April, with plans for gradual expansion into global markets. The brand aims to complete its launch in 16 overseas countries and regions by the end of the year, showcasing Nio’s strategic focus on global growth and market penetration.
