Land Rover Discovery Sport Review 2025, Price & Specs

The new Land Rover Discovery Sport has received a mixed reception with its latest update, particularly when it comes to the interior usability. The previous model had a user-friendly layout with a central touchscreen and physical controls for the climate settings, making adjustments a seamless process. However, the latest version has done away with these physical controls in favor of a more minimalist cabin design and a larger 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen.

While the touchscreen itself is of good quality, there are some drawbacks to the new system. Navigating through the various menus and submenus can be cumbersome, and some of the icons are too small, making it difficult to use while driving. Additionally, the system is not as responsive as one would hope. Despite these issues, the touchscreen does offer easy connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are likely to be the primary methods of interaction for many users.

In terms of build quality, the Discovery Sport maintains a premium feel with soft-touch materials in all the right places. While some elements, such as those in the center console, may feel a bit cheap, the overall cabin feels robust and well-constructed. Practicality is where the Discovery Sport truly shines, with generous headroom even with the optional panoramic roof and versatile second-row seats that can slide forward or backward to accommodate either more legroom or increased boot space.

For those in need of additional seating, the diesel models can be equipped with a third row, though the plug-in hybrid sacrifices this feature due to the battery taking up space in the boot. The seven-seat configuration adds a layer of versatility to the Discovery Sport, though the third row may be better suited for children on shorter journeys. In terms of storage, the Discovery Sport offers ample space with generous door bins, cubbies, and a decently sized boot, making it a practical choice for those in need of a versatile and functional vehicle.

Overall, the Land Rover Discovery Sport remains a capable and versatile SUV with a premium feel and a focus on practicality. While the new interior design may not be to everyone’s liking, the Discovery Sport still offers a comfortable and well-equipped cabin that is sure to appeal to a wide range of drivers.
