Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) is set to officially launch the facelifted C10 SUV on May 15, following the start of pre-sales for the model at the end of last month. The company announced that a launch event will kick off at 2:00 pm Beijing time on May 15, with customers who pre-order the model now eligible to receive limited-time benefits.

The updated C10, referred to as the 2026 C10 by Leapmotor, comes a year after the initial launch of the five-seat SUV in March. With pre-sales starting at RMB 129,800 ($17,900), the C10 is available in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, similar to its predecessor.

The EREV version of the updated C10 is offered in two variants with pre-sale starting prices of RMB 129,800 and RMB 139,800 respectively. On the other hand, the BEV version also has two variants with pre-sales starting prices of RMB 139,800 and RMB 149,800 respectively. Customers who pre-order now can benefit from up to RMB 19,680 in limited-time offers.

One interesting trend in the Chinese EV industry is the usual price reduction of new car models at official launch compared to pre-sales. The dimensions of the updated C10 remain the same as its predecessor, measuring 4,739 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm.

The 2026 C10 comes equipped with LiDAR in the highest-priced variants of both the BEV and EREV options, mirroring its predecessor’s features. Leapmotor recently announced impressive delivery figures, with 41,039 vehicles delivered in April, marking the second-highest monthly total in the company’s history.

The monthly deliveries represented a 173.50 percent increase from the previous year and a 10.63 percent increase from March. Since the beginning of the year, Leapmotor has delivered a total of 128,591 vehicles, reflecting a 165.60 percent year-on-year growth. Notably, the C10 contributed significantly to Leapmotor’s monthly deliveries, with 12,255 units delivered in March alone.

In a separate development, Leapmotor secured over 18,000 orders during the five-day Labor Day holiday, with more than 3,700 orders booked in a single day on May 5. The C11 SUV played a significant role in this success, contributing 1,099 units to the total orders.

Overall, Leapmotor’s updated C10 SUV is poised to make a splash in the market with its enhanced features and competitive pricing. The company’s strong performance in recent months underscores its growing presence in the Chinese EV industry, setting the stage for continued success in the future.
