Xiaomi’s highly anticipated YU7 electric SUV is set to make its debut at the company’s product launch event starting at 7:00 pm Beijing time today. The official pricing and pre-order details for the YU7 won’t be revealed at the pre-launch event, but Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the official launch of the YU7 is expected in two months, with a targeted launch date in July.

The YU7 is being positioned as a luxury performance SUV by Xiaomi EV, the company’s electric vehicle arm. Lei Jun emphasized that the YU7 is designed for those who appreciate driving performance, spacious interiors, and advanced luxury experiences. The YU7 is Xiaomi’s second electric vehicle model following the SU7 sedan, which was launched in March 2024 as a competitor to the Tesla Model 3.

With a length of 4,999 mm, width of 1,996 mm, height of 1,600 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, the YU7 promises a spacious and comfortable ride for passengers. In comparison, the Tesla Model Y, currently leading the electric SUV market in China, has slightly smaller dimensions.

Xiaomi EV has been experiencing significant growth in its electric vehicle deliveries, with over 28,000 units delivered in April alone. The company has raised its full-year 2025 vehicle delivery target to 350,000 units, indicating its strong commitment to the electric vehicle market.

The YU7’s interior has been teased by Xiaomi EV, showcasing the Xiaomi HyperVision, a more intuitive visual interaction system. This technology is expected to enhance the overall driving experience for YU7 owners.

As Xiaomi continues to expand its presence in the electric vehicle market, the launch of the YU7 is a significant milestone that has the potential to reshape the electric SUV market in China. Stay tuned for more updates on the YU7 as Xiaomi prepares for its official launch in the coming months.
