Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) is set to make a big splash at the upcoming Shenzhen auto show by showcasing its latest model, the YU7 SUV. This marks the first time that Xiaomi will be unveiling an SUV at an auto show, signaling the company’s foray into the competitive SUV market.

The highly anticipated 2025 Shenzhen auto show is scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 8, giving auto enthusiasts and industry insiders a chance to get a firsthand look at Xiaomi’s latest offerings. The event will serve as a platform for Xiaomi to showcase its full lineup, with the spotlight shining on the YU7 model.

The YU7 made its official debut on May 22, following in the footsteps of Xiaomi’s successful SU7 electric sedan. With plans to launch the YU7 for sale in July, Xiaomi is gearing up to expand its presence in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.

At the core of Xiaomi’s strategy is a focus on innovation and cutting-edge technology. The YU7 is a five-seat mid-to-large-size SUV with impressive dimensions, including a length of 4,999 mm, width of 1,996 mm, and height of 1,600 mm. The model boasts a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, offering ample space and comfort for passengers.

In terms of performance, the YU7 is positioned as a strong competitor to Tesla’s popular Model Y. With larger dimensions and an extended range, the YU7 is designed to appeal to consumers seeking a balance of style, performance, and efficiency. Xiaomi is offering three variants of the YU7 – Standard, Pro, and Max – each catering to different preferences and needs.

One of the standout features of the YU7 is its impressive battery capacity and range. The Standard and Pro variants come equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack with a capacity of 96.3 kWh, offering a CLTC range of 835 kilometers and 770 kilometers, respectively. Meanwhile, the Max variant comes with a lithium ternary battery pack with a capacity of 101.7 kWh and a CLTC range of 760 kilometers.

With Xiaomi’s commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative electric vehicles, the YU7 is poised to make a significant impact in the market. As Xiaomi continues to expand its EV portfolio and solidify its position as a key player in the industry, the YU7 represents a new chapter in the company’s journey towards shaping the future of mobility.
