GAC Group Launches “Brazil Action Plan” in São Paulo, Introducing Five New Models

GAC Group, a leading automotive company, made a significant move into the Latin American market by launching its brand presence in Brazil. The event took place at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, where GAC introduced five new vehicle models as part of its “Brazil Action Plan”. This initiative marks a crucial step in the company’s global strategy, demonstrating its long-term commitment to investing in and developing the Brazilian market.

The five new models unveiled by GAC include the AION V, AION Y, HYPTEC HT, GS4 HYBRID, and AION ES. These models cater to different consumer preferences and aim to provide Brazilian customers with a glimpse of future mobility trends.

As part of its localization efforts, GAC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Qualidade e Tecnologia (Inmetro) to enhance Brazil’s automotive standards system. This partnership underscores GAC’s commitment to supporting Brazil’s automotive industry and boosting its competitiveness on a global scale.

Brazil, being the world’s sixth-largest automotive market, plays a critical role in GAC’s globalization roadmap. The country’s focus on green reindustrialization and sustainable development aligns with GAC’s green technology strategy. The recent “Mover” initiative by the Brazilian government offers incentives to accelerate the development of green technologies, including new energy vehicles (NEVs).

GAC’s “Brazil Action Plan” is built on four strategic pillars: full industrial chain deployment, energy ecosystem development, talent cultivation, and cultural integration. Key milestones include the establishment of GAC’s Brazilian subsidiary and the launch of a parts distribution center. The company is also planning to set up an R&D center in Brazil to drive innovation and development in the local market.

In the energy sector, GAC aims to establish a nationwide energy replenishment network and create a comprehensive industry ecosystem by 2030. Additionally, the company is collaborating with leading Brazilian universities to support R&D in flexible fuel technologies and workforce development.

GAC’s commitment to corporate citizenship is evident through its engagement in community and cultural initiatives. The company recently expressed its intent to provide NEVs for COP30, highlighting its dedication to global climate governance.

Looking ahead, 2025 will be a crucial year for GAC to establish its full-scale industrial ecosystem in Brazil. The company plans to introduce a diverse portfolio of vehicles, including BEVs, PHEVs, and oil-fueled vehicles, to meet the varied needs of Brazilian consumers. GAC’s unified brand identity, “One GAC 2.0”, will be implemented across its 33 dealerships in Brazil, ensuring a consistent customer experience.

To enhance its service capabilities, GAC will roll out the GAC Sales Service Way (GSSW) standards in Brazil, offering 24/7 customer support, roadside assistance, and extended warranties. With the launch of its parts distribution center, GAC aims to streamline its supply chain and accelerate local manufacturing.

In the energy and mobility ecosystem, GAC is working towards building a nationwide energy supply network and collaborating with the Brazilian Sustainable Mobility Alliance to promote sustainable urban transport. Through partnerships with financial institutions, GAC plans to provide flexible financing solutions to make clean and convenient mobility accessible to more Brazilian consumers.

Overall, GAC’s “Brazil Action Plan” sets a solid foundation for its growth and development in the Brazilian market, showcasing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
