Kia has recently unveiled details of its 2026 model year EV9 SUV, complete with updated pricing. The latest iteration of the EV9, now in its third model year, features some exciting new customizations and configurations, as well as some of the lowest prices to date.

The Kia EV9 has quickly established itself as a top-tier three-row electric vehicle, becoming a flagship model for the Korean automaker. With accolades and strong sales under its belt, the EV9 has now transitioned production to Kia’s US plant in Georgia, solidifying its presence in the market.

One notable feature of the 2025 versions of the Kia EV9 is the eligibility for federal tax credits, offering additional savings for consumers. The 2026 models may also qualify for these credits, but the pricing of various trims has been adjusted to provide even more value for buyers.

In terms of updates for the 2026 model year, Kia has made some cosmetic changes to the EV9, with slight increases in range for certain trims. For example, the Light Long Range EV9 now offers an additional mile of range at 305 miles, while the Wind and Land trims have seen a bump from 280 miles in 2025 to 283 miles in 2026. The top-tier GT-Line trim has seen the most significant increase, with a 10-mile boost to 280 miles of range.

In addition to these range updates, Kia has introduced some new features and options for the 2026 EV9 models. The Nightfall Edition is now available on the Land trim, offering design and performance enhancements such as exclusive 20-inch gloss black wheels, black badging, and a new Roadrider Brown exterior color. The AWD trims (Wind, Land, GT-Line) now come with Terrain Mode (Mud/Snow/Sand) in place of 4WD, and the GT-Line trim offers two new two-tone exterior color options.

When it comes to pricing, Kia has made significant adjustments for the 2026 model year. Most notably, a majority of the EV9 trims have seen a decrease in pricing compared to previous years. The Light SR trim remains steady at $54,900, while the Light LR trim has dropped by $2,000 to $57,900. The Wind and Land trims maintain their prices, with the Land trim seeing a $1,000 decrease. The GT-Line trim has seen the largest price drop of $2,000, now priced below $72,000 before taxes and fees.

With these price drops and the potential for federal tax credits, the 2026 Kia EV9 presents an attractive option for consumers looking to invest in a new electric vehicle. The combination of performance, features, and affordability make the EV9 a compelling choice in the EV market.
