Nio Power, the energy unit of Nio (NYSE: NIO), has achieved a significant milestone by completing the coverage of all districts in the city of Tianjin, China with its battery swap stations. This accomplishment marks another step forward in Nio’s Power Up Counties program, which aims to expand its battery swap network across various regions in China.

As of now, Nio Power has a total of 56 battery swap stations in Tianjin, providing coverage to 16 districts within the city. These stations are capable of serving both Nio and Onvo customers, further enhancing the accessibility and convenience of battery swap services in the area. To date, Nio has conducted nearly 1 million battery swap services in Tianjin, showcasing the popularity and efficiency of this charging option.

Nio unveiled its Power Up Counties program during the Nio Power Up 2024 event in August 2024, with a goal of extending its battery swap station network to over 2,300 county-level administrative regions across all 27 provincial regions by December 31, 2025. Additionally, the company aims to have its charging network cover all counties in China by June 30, 2025, demonstrating its commitment to providing comprehensive charging solutions to EV owners.

In addition to Tianjin, Nio has also successfully implemented coverage of battery swap stations in key regions such as Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Guangdong. This strategic expansion reinforces Nio’s position as a leader in the EV market, offering a robust infrastructure to support the growing demand for electric vehicles in China.

Currently, Nio boasts a total of 3,337 battery swap stations across China, with 988 located along highways for convenient long-distance travel. The company also operates 2,829 supercharging stations and 1,741 destination charging stations, providing a wide range of charging options to meet the diverse needs of EV drivers. Moreover, Nio’s charging map connects to over 1.25 million third-party charging piles, further enhancing the accessibility of charging facilities for users.

Looking ahead, Nio’s founder, chairman, and CEO, William Li, has emphasized the importance of battery swap station construction as a top priority for the company. The Power Up Counties program is set to be completed in 14 provinces in the first half of the year, highlighting Nio’s ongoing commitment to expanding its charging infrastructure and delivering superior services to its customers.

In conclusion, Nio’s continued efforts to enhance its battery swap network and charging infrastructure reflect the company’s dedication to promoting sustainable transportation solutions and providing a seamless charging experience for EV owners. With a strong focus on innovation and customer convenience, Nio is well-positioned to drive the adoption of electric vehicles and accelerate the transition to a greener future.
