Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) is set to unveil its latest SUV model, the G7, in just two days. This new vehicle will mark a significant milestone for the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker, as it will be the first AI car with L3 computing power.

The G7 is not just about cutting-edge technology, but also about comfort and spaciousness in the smart SUV market. Xpeng’s chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, has described the G7 as a revolutionary super AI vehicle that combines advanced technologies in autonomous driving, cabin design, and core electrical systems. Moreover, it will offer unparalleled space and comfort for family users.

One of the key highlights of the G7 is the HUD (head-up display) system, which has been co-developed by Xpeng and tech giant Huawei. This system will provide drivers with essential information such as driving assistance, speed, and road conditions, projected onto the windshield in an 87-inch display area.

The G7’s AI capabilities are powered by Xpeng’s in-house developed Turing AI chip, which was announced to be used in mass-produced vehicles starting in the second quarter of the year. This chip is expected to enhance the vehicle’s performance and efficiency in various aspects.

In addition to the groundbreaking technology featured in the G7, Xpeng has also expressed confidence in doubling its sales in 2025. This ambitious goal comes after the company delivered 190,068 vehicles in 2024, with a target of reaching approximately 380,000 vehicles this year.

With the SUV segment being the most popular in China’s passenger vehicle market, the introduction of the G7 is expected to further boost Xpeng’s sales and market presence. The company’s existing lineup of SUVs, sedans, and MPVs has already gained traction in the market, and the addition of the G7 is poised to solidify Xpeng’s position as a leading player in the EV industry.

Overall, the Xpeng G7 represents a significant leap forward in the realm of smart SUVs, blending cutting-edge technology with comfort and performance. As the countdown to its global debut continues, all eyes are on Xpeng to see how this new model will reshape the landscape of the EV market.
