Nio, a renowned Chinese automaker, continues to showcase its strong performance in the electric vehicle market as it delivered a total of 23,231 vehicles in May 2025. This marks a 13.08 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Among the various models delivered, the ET9, the brand’s highest-priced model, stood out with 682 units delivered in May. This brought the combined deliveries over the past two months to 1,492 units, demonstrating a steady demand for this luxury sedan.

Launched at Nio Day 2024 with a starting price of RMB 788,000, the ET9 incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as the Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip and SkyRide chassis. The success of the ET9 reflects Nio’s commitment to innovation and quality in its vehicle lineup.

The ES6, Nio’s top-selling model, maintained its popularity with 5,479 units delivered in May. This SUV continues to be a favorite among consumers, accounting for a significant portion of Nio’s monthly deliveries. Additionally, the updated ES6 and EC6 coupe SUV models were launched in May, further expanding Nio’s product offerings.

In addition to the ET9 and ES6, other models like the ET5, EC6, ES8, and ET7 also contributed to Nio’s overall delivery numbers in May. The company remains focused on introducing new models and enhancing existing ones to meet the evolving needs of electric vehicle enthusiasts.

Looking ahead, Nio founder, chairman, and CEO William Li announced the upcoming debut of the third-generation ES8 SUV in the fourth quarter. This reflects Nio’s continuous efforts to stay at the forefront of the electric vehicle market and offer customers a diverse range of high-quality vehicles.
