VinFast, a leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has achieved a significant milestone in its expansion strategy within the US by signing its first authorised dealership in California. The new dealership, situated in San Diego and part of the Sunroad Automotive Group, is all set to commence operations this month, offering California consumers the opportunity to explore and purchase VinFast’s electric SUVs, the VF 8 and VF 9.

In addition to sales, the San Diego dealership will provide comprehensive after-sales services, including warranty support, maintenance and repair, and genuine VinFast parts. Strategically positioned to meet the increasing demand for electric vehicles in California, the dealership will serve as a model for VinFast’s dealership sales model introduced in late 2023.

VinFast’s transition to a franchise dealership model across all 50 states aims to enhance business efficiency and optimize operations. With over 30 authorised dealerships established across 15 key states, including Texas, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, and New York, VinFast is making significant strides in the US market.

Paul Fillmore, the general manager of VinFast San Diego, expressed pride in being VinFast’s first dealership partner in California, highlighting the brand’s potential to make a lasting impact in the North American market. VinFast’s commitment to accelerating the green transition is evident in its competitive pricing and sales policies in the US market.

The VF 8, a 5-passenger electric mid-size SUV, is available starting at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $39,900, while the larger VF 9 starts at $62,900. All VinFast EV models in the US come with a 10-year or 125,000-mile vehicle warranty and a 10-year unlimited mileage battery warranty for non-commercial use.

As VinFast continues to expand its presence and offerings in the US market, the company remains dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable mobility solutions. With a focus on quality, affordability, and customer satisfaction, VinFast is poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of electric vehicles in North America.
