Audi Unveils New Q3, Featuring Micro-LED Headlights for the First Time

The latest Audi Q3 crossover is making waves in the automotive industry with its cutting-edge features, as reported by Mezha Media. One of the standout elements of this model is the introduction of micro-LED headlights, a first for the Audi lineup. These headlights utilize DMD modules with tiny mirror elements to provide precise light control, allowing for the projection of information directly onto the road within the driver’s field of vision. This innovative technology can display warnings such as icy road conditions or alerts about unsafe lane changes.

Each headlight unit is composed of multiple modules packed with 25,600 micro-LEDs, all within a compact 13 mm space. With each micro-LED measuring just 40 micrometers in length, the increased light-shaping resolution and denser arrangement result in significantly greater brightness, as noted by TCar.

The interior design of the Audi Q3 introduces several new features, including a pair of connected displays that wrap around the driver for a seamless experience. The transmission control joystick is positioned below the steering wheel on the right side, a layout similar to recent VAG models.

In terms of powertrain options, the Audi Q3 offers a range of choices to cater to different driving needs. The most advanced and powerful version is the PHEV hybrid, known as the e-hybrid, which combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor to deliver a total output of 200 kW (272 hp). This hybrid model is equipped with a 25.7 kWh battery, providing up to 119 km of electric-only driving range.

Despite the introduction of the PHEV model, the Audi Q3 also offers traditional petrol and diesel engine options for those who prefer more conventional powertrains. Mezha Media reports that the Audi Q3 crossover SUV is a bestseller for the brand, with sales of the new model set to begin in Europe by the end of the summer.

Overall, the Audi Q3 sets a new standard in the crossover SUV market with its innovative technology, advanced powertrain options, and stylish design. Car enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing the latest in automotive excellence with the Audi Q3.
