Geely Automobile posts 24% YoY jump in June 2024 auto sales

Geely Automobile Reports Strong Sales Performance in June 2024

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In June 2024, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (“Geely Automobile”) achieved impressive sales figures, selling 166,085 vehicles, representing a 24% year-on-year increase. The company’s cumulative sales for the first half of 2024 reached 955,730 units, showing a significant 41% year-on-year surge.

The highlight of Geely Automobile’s sales performance in June was the growth in new energy vehicle (NEV) sales, with 65,959 units sold, marking a 12% month-on-month increase and an impressive 88% year-on-year spike. NEVs accounted for nearly 40% of the total sales for the month. In the first half of the year, Geely Automobile sold 320,185 NEVs, demonstrating a remarkable 117% year-on-year increase.

Breaking down the performance by brand, the Geely brand sold 121,540 vehicles in June, a 14% year-on-year increase. Total sales for the first half of 2024 reached 741,860 vehicles, up 34% from the previous year. The Geely Galaxy NEV range saw a significant increase in sales, with 15,975 vehicles sold in June, marking a 65% year-on-year growth.

The Lynk & Co brand also performed well, selling 24,439 vehicles in June, a 49.2% increase year over year. NEVs accounted for 15,203 units, showing a 23% month-on-month rise. Total sales for Lynk & Co in the first half of 2024 reached 126,000 units, surging 54% year-on-year. Since its launch in late 2017, Lynk & Co has sold over 1.17 million vehicles as of June 2024.

ZEEKR, Geely’s premium electric vehicle brand, reported strong performance in June with 20,106 vehicles delivered, marking an 89% year-on-year increase. In the first half of the year, ZEEKR delivered 87,870 vehicles, more than doubling from the previous year (+106% YoY).

On the international front, Geely Automobile’s exports in June totaled 35,347 vehicles, up 61% year-on-year. For the first half of the year, the company’s export volume reached 197,428 vehicles, showing a 67% increase from the previous year.
