Chery Holding’s H1 auto sales exceed 1 million units for first time

Chery Holding Achieves Record-breaking Sales in June 2024

In June 2024, Chery Holding, a leading Chinese automaker, reported impressive sales figures with a total of 200,412 vehicles sold, representing a remarkable 38% year-on-year increase. Notably, the company’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sales witnessed a significant surge, reaching 44,851 units and marking a staggering 230.6% growth compared to the same period last year.

The company’s strong performance extended to the first half of the year, with cumulative sales surpassing 1 million units for the first time in Chery Holding’s history. Total sales for the first six months of 2024 soared by 48.4% year-on-year to reach 1,100,621 vehicles. NEV sales also experienced substantial growth, reaching 180,947 units and marking a remarkable 181.5% increase compared to the previous year.

In terms of international markets, Chery Holding exported 97,034 vehicles in June, reflecting a 22.7% year-on-year increase. The cumulative export volume for the first half of the year reached 532,158 vehicles, demonstrating a solid 29.4% growth compared to the same period in the previous year.

Breaking down the sales performance by brand, the Chery brand achieved sales of 123,694 vehicles in June, representing a 28.5% year-on-year increase. For the January to June period, the Chery brand sold a total of 706,767 vehicles, marking a substantial 41.9% growth compared to the previous year.

The EXEED brand also reported positive sales figures, with June sales totaling 13,252 vehicles, a 34.6% year-on-year increase. Year-to-date sales for the brand reached 54,447 units, showing a solid 28.9% growth compared to the same period last year.

The JETOUR brand experienced significant growth in both June and the first half of the year, with June sales reaching 42,088 vehicles and year-to-date sales totaling 223,555 vehicles. This represented impressive year-on-year growth rates of 94.8% and 98.9%, respectively.

Despite being a relatively new player in the market, the iCAR brand showed promising results with 5,907 vehicles sold in June and 25,586 vehicles sold in the first half of the year.

Chery Holding’s exceptional sales performance in June 2024 underscores the company’s strong market presence and growing popularity both domestically and internationally. With a diverse range of brands and a focus on new energy vehicles, Chery Holding is well-positioned for continued success in the automotive industry.
