Hyundai is set to unveil a new electric crossover in the near future, expanding its electric vehicle offerings. This crossover is expected to be an electric alternative to the Bayon and will fill the gap between the Inster and the Kona Electric. Positioned to rival the Renault 4 and Volvo EX30, this crossover will be twinned with Kia’s upcoming EV2.

According to European CEO Xavier Martinet, the new electric crossover will be revealed in the next few months and is scheduled for launch in the third quarter of 2026. Built on the scalable E-GMP platform, similar to other Hyundai Motor Group EVs, this crossover will likely offer a range of around 267 to 372 miles with a choice of battery packs.

Inside, the new electric crossover will feature a new infotainment system that can adjust elements like ambient lighting and noise based on driving modes. It is expected to have a combined instrument and infotainment display setup similar to the Kia EV2. Pricing is expected to be around €30,000 (£25,000), similar to the EV2.

This new electric crossover will join Hyundai’s expanding EV lineup as the sixth electric vehicle, following the upcoming Ioniq 9 flagship. With a focus on electrification, Hyundai is looking to increase its electrified mix in the coming years. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new addition to Hyundai’s electric vehicle lineup.
