The Ferrari Amalfi: A Perfect Blend of Performance and Accessibility

When it comes to meeting the accessibility brief, Ferrari has gone above and beyond with the Amalfi. The focus was on making the car more predictable, and this was achieved through a series of innovative upgrades. New underbody lips and a redesigned active rear wing work together to better manage airflow, providing an extra 110kg of downforce compared to the Roma in its most extreme position.

One of the standout features of the Amalfi is its brake-by-wire system. This cutting-edge technology replaces traditional mechanical braking components with a computer-controlled setup. This system translates pedal pressure into the appropriate braking force, making the car more usable in any weather condition. According to Ferrari engineer Fulgenzi, this system is a huge improvement over the Roma, offering consistent braking performance and feel in every situation.

Not only does the Amalfi excel in terms of predictability and safety, but it also delivers a thrilling driving experience. The car is quiet, stable, and comfortable in its comfort-focused modes, yet it transforms into a high-performing machine when pushed to its limits. Fulgenzi emphasizes that Ferrari wanted a car that everyone can use daily, whether it’s for family outings or solo drives. The ability to adjust settings allows drivers to tailor the car’s performance to suit their needs.

In terms of design, the Amalfi represents an evolution of the Roma’s sleek and sophisticated aesthetic. Chief designer Flavio Manzoni aimed to retain the Roma’s design language while infusing it with a modern touch. The focus was on simplicity and purity, resulting in a timeless and elegant appearance.

The mechanical improvements and design refresh of the Amalfi come together to create a truly exceptional driving experience. Whether you’re cruising with your loved ones or seeking thrills on the open road, the Ferrari Amalfi delivers on all fronts. With its blend of performance, accessibility, and design excellence, this car is sure to captivate enthusiasts and casual drivers alike. Experience the best of Ferrari with the Amalfi.
