Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Partner to Boost NEV Industry

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have joined forces by signing a cooperation framework agreement for the “Longxing Project” in Nanning city. This strategic partnership is geared towards propelling the development of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.

As per the agreement, both parties will collaborate to support the “Longxing Project” with a focus on establishing a core product cluster for NEVs. Dongfeng Motor will facilitate resource allocation for the project by integrating products and technology, as well as fostering project collaboration.

The “Longxing Project” will revolve around the innovation chain of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co. Ltd., encompassing pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel products. This endeavor aims to elevate the impact and product competitiveness of Dongfeng’s Chenglong and Forthing brands, expedite the transformation and enhancement of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, and nurture the growth of the NEV industry cluster in Guangxi.

Chairman Yang Qing of Dongfeng Motor Corporation emphasized the company’s dedication to partnering with Guangxi and expressed optimism about the expansion of the NEV industry in the region. Dongfeng intends to leverage its premium resources and technical expertise to collaborate with Guangxi in embracing the new era of automotive technological revolution and industry evolution. The objective is to contribute to the high-quality advancement of the automotive sector and fortify the autonomy and resilience of Chinese automotive brands.
