Buzz Bicycles has recently introduced their latest electric tricycle model, the Buzz Cerana T2, which is aimed at providing affordable e-bikes for older riders looking for both recreational and transportation options. With the launch of this new model, the competition in the electric trike market has intensified, especially after the success of Lectric eBikes’ second-generation electric trike, the Lectric XP Trike2.

Priced at $1,399, the Buzz Cerana T2 is $100 cheaper than its competitor, making it one of the best-priced mid-drive e-trikes currently available. The trike features relatively large wheels, with a 24×3.0″ front tire and 20×3.0″ rear tires, powered by a 500W mid-drive motor mounted at the bottom bracket, offering 130 Nm of torque. The Cerana T2 can reach speeds of up to 20 mph, making it a Class 2 electric bike with a throttle on the handlebars for easy acceleration.

The battery on the Cerana T2 is a 48V 10.4Ah unit, providing a maximum range of 40 miles on a single charge. The trike also features a fender set, LCD display, 7-speed shifter, mechanical disc brakes, LED lighting, and an included front rack with a matching rear basket. Additionally, it comes with an oversized saddle with a manual drop post for easy adjustment when coming to a stop.

While the Cerana T2 lacks suspension and a folding frame, it makes up for it with its powerful mid-drive motor and large tires, offering a comfortable ride for older riders. The trike may have some downsides, such as lower-end mechanical disc brakes, but its competitive price and top speed make it a compelling option in the electric trike market.

Overall, the Buzz Cerana T2 stands out as a budget-friendly and feature-rich electric tricycle that caters to the needs of older riders looking for a reliable and affordable e-bike for both leisure and daily commutes. Its combination of performance, price, and features make it a strong contender in the growing market of electric three-wheelers.
