SemiDrive and Richtek Collaborate to Launch Next-Generation Smart Cockpit Reference Design

SemiDrive, a leading Chinese automotive-grade chip product and solution provider, has teamed up with Richtek, an analog IC design firm, to introduce the “SD210” reference design platform. This pre-integrated solution is specifically tailored for next-generation smart cockpit systems and promises to revolutionize the automotive industry.

The SD210 reference design incorporates SemiDrive’s X9H, X9HP, and X9SP smart cockpit SoCs, along with Richtek’s SoC PMIC RTQ2209, Multi-Phase Step-Down Converter RTQ2134, DCDC RTQ2102A, and LDO RTQ2531A. This integration allows for efficient and flexible power delivery, tailored to the specific requirements of the system. The platform supports output voltage configuration and power sequencing via internal IC memory, enabling seamless upgrades without the need for hardware redesign.

Richtek has introduced the RTQ2209-QA, a cutting-edge analog IC designed for automotive-grade applications. This innovative IC features an advanced wettable flank QFN6x6 package, integrates 10 configurable power rails, and supports I2C-based flexible configuration. With an ultra-low quiescent current of just 50μA, the RTQ2209-QA delivers exceptional power efficiency and extends battery life.

For high-power automotive platforms, Richtek offers advanced solutions like the 20A multi-phase and four-channel buck converter RTQ2134-QA, catering to more demanding performance requirements.

To address the diverse configuration needs of smart cockpit systems, Richtek provides four tailored power supply solutions optimized for SemiDrive’s X9SP, X9HP, and X9H SoCs. These solutions leverage the high level of integration offered by the RTQ2209, simplifying circuit design, reducing board space, and ensuring efficient power delivery.

In conclusion, the collaboration between SemiDrive and Richtek has resulted in a groundbreaking smart cockpit reference design platform that is set to redefine the automotive industry. With its advanced features, seamless integration, and innovative power supply solutions, the SD210 reference design is poised to revolutionize the way we experience smart cockpit systems in vehicles.
