Segway has recently introduced a bold new version of its popular Xafari electric bike in a stunning Crimson Red color. This micromobility giant, known for its scooters and innovative self-balancing technology, is injecting a dose of personality into its multi-surface cruiser while maintaining the impressive comfort, connectivity, and performance that made the original model stand out.

The Xafari, originally showcased at CES 2025 alongside the more moto-styled Segway Xyber, is an e-bike that can operate in Class 1, 2, or 3 modes, suitable for urban commuting as well as light off-road adventures. Equipped with a 750W rear hub motor and a 936 Wh battery, it boasts a range of up to 88 miles (142 km). The full suspension and semi-fat 26×3.0” tires ensure a smooth ride on various terrains, from pavement to packed dirt trails.

What sets the Xafari apart is its advanced technology features. The bike includes a smart 2.4” TFT color display with navigation and ride metrics, an adaptive pedal assist system that adjusts power based on the gradient and rider input, and a range of connectivity tools uncommon in e-bikes at this price point. These features include Apple Find My and Segway GPS tracking, an app-based lockout system with a motion alarm, and cloud-based maintenance alerts. Additionally, it features a handlebar scroll wheel for easy control of assist levels and the display, as well as an intelligent lighting system with automatic high/low beams.

The decision to introduce the Crimson Red colorway was influenced by feedback from Segway’s retail partners, who expressed a desire for a more expressive look. Nick Howe, head of Segway’s e-bike division, stated, “This colorway turns heads, but more importantly, it reflects the bold, confident rider we built this product for.” The bike originally launched with more subdued coloring.

The Segway Xafari in Crimson Red is now available for purchase through Segway’s website and authorized dealers. It is priced at an MSRP of $2,399.99, with early promotional pricing dropping it to $1,999.99 for the launch period.

In conclusion, the Segway Xafari electric bike in Crimson Red combines style, performance, and cutting-edge technology to offer riders a unique and thrilling experience. Whether navigating city streets or exploring off-road trails, this e-bike is designed to deliver a comfortable and connected ride for riders of all skill levels.
