Xpeng, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently unveiled its latest model, the next-generation P7 electric sedan. The company aims to create another successful model by equipping the P7 with cutting-edge technology, a long battery range, and a sleek new design.

The new P7 was introduced at an event in Beijing, where pre-sales of the electric sedan began. Although the pre-sales pricing was not disclosed, Xpeng plans to officially launch the model later this month, at which time the prices will be revealed. Show cars of the new P7 are already available in Xpeng showrooms for customers to view.

The next-generation P7 is expected to target a market segment priced around RMB 300,000 ($41,750). Customers who reserve the new P7 by paying RMB 99 will receive a RMB 3,000 discount when purchasing the vehicle. Shortly after the debut event, Xpeng announced that the model had received over 10,000 pre-orders within 6 minutes and 37 seconds of the start of pre-sales.

The new P7 builds on the success of its predecessor, the first-generation P7, which debuted in 2019. The stylish exterior design of the P7 has garnered praise since its launch, with impressive sales figures in 2021 and 2022.

The new-generation P7 comes equipped with three Turing AI driving chips developed in-house by Xpeng, providing an effective computing power of 2,250 TOPS. This advanced technology enables the P7 to support VLA and VLM large language AI models, enhancing the vehicle’s driving capabilities and intelligent cockpit experience.

Additionally, the new P7 features an 800-volt high-voltage platform and battery packs that support a 5C charging rate, allowing for a range of up to 820 km. The model offers single-motor and dual-motor options, with the dual-motor version capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

Xpeng has also incorporated some of its humanoid robot technologies into the new P7, including a movable center console screen for an enhanced user experience. The model is expected to continue Xpeng’s strong sales momentum and contribute to the company’s goal of doubling its delivery volume in 2025 compared to 2024.

In conclusion, the new P7 from Xpeng represents the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the electric vehicle industry. With its advanced technology, impressive range, and sleek design, the P7 is poised to make a significant impact in the market and further solidify Xpeng’s position as a key player in the EV sector.
