Omoda Launches Updated Versions of 5 and E5 SUVs

Omoda has just unveiled the latest updates to its popular 5 and E5 SUV models, making it one of the fastest car updates in recent memory. The refreshed versions of these vehicles come less than a year after their initial release in the UK, following critical reviews from media outlets.

The changes to the 5 and E5 include technical improvements, enhancements to material quality, and updates to the handling and overall driving experience of the vehicles. One of the key upgrades made by Chery-owned Omoda is to the front suspension and steering geometry, aimed at providing a more dynamic driving experience for customers.

Autocar’s road test of the 5 highlighted issues with the vehicle’s ride and handling balance, noting a lack of cohesiveness in body control that made for a tiring driving experience. In response to this feedback, Omoda has introduced new front wheel hubs and bearings, as well as refreshed brake linings to address concerns about pitch and shimmying under hard braking.

Inside, both the 5 and E5 now feature the same interior design to ensure consistency across the range. The cabin of the combustion-powered 5 has been upgraded with softer materials to enhance the overall quality, bringing it closer to the EV’s more luxurious interior. The addition of larger 12.25-inch screens, angled towards the driver for better visibility, further enhances the driving experience.

Other updates include a revised steering wheel design, new seats with increased adjustability, and repositioned gear selector and wireless charging pad for easier access while on the move. These changes aim to improve the overall comfort and convenience of the driving experience for customers.

Overall, Omoda’s speedy response to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement have resulted in significant upgrades to the 5 and E5 SUVs. With these latest updates, Omoda is setting a new standard for fast and effective car updates in the industry.
