Lucid is about to reveal a ‘bold’ new EV concept this week

Lucid is gearing up to unveil a new electric vehicle concept that promises to redefine exploration in the world of EVs. Following the successful launch of the Gravity in late 2024, Lucid has solidified its position as a leader in efficient and luxurious electric vehicles.

The Lucid Air, the best-selling electric luxury sedan in the US in the first half of the year, has paved the way for Lucid’s continued success in the market. With production expected to ramp up significantly in the second half of the year, Lucid is now teasing a new EV model that promises to push boundaries and excite enthusiasts.

While details about the new concept are still scarce, the teaser hints at some exciting features. One standout element is a roof-mounted light, suggesting that this exploration EV will come equipped with off-road capabilities. The rugged, blacked-out wheels and other off-road elements further reinforce this notion.

All signs point to an off-road Gravity variant, akin to Rivian’s “California Dune Edition” trims for the R1S and R1T. These special edition models feature Rivian’s Tri-Motor powertrain and additional off-road upgrades, such as unique paint colors, all-terrain wheels, and reinforced underbody shields. The teaser image suggests that Lucid’s new concept will follow a similar path.

With the lower-priced Touring model set to debut later this year, starting at $79,900, it’s unlikely that the new concept will be a part of this lineup. Currently, the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring offers an impressive range of up to 450 miles and is available starting at $94,900. The limited edition Dream Edition models, boasting over 1,000 horsepower, continue to attract attention for their performance and luxury.

As we await the official unveiling of Lucid’s bold new EV concept at Monterey Car Week on August 14, speculation runs rampant about what this new model could be. Will it be the midsize EV scheduled for the second half of 2026, or something entirely different? Only time will tell, so stay tuned for more updates and be sure to share your thoughts on what the new concept might entail.

In conclusion, Lucid’s commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology continues to impress, and the upcoming unveiling of their new concept is sure to generate excitement and anticipation in the EV community.
