Seyond Secures Deal with Top Joint-Venture Automaker for Robin E1X LiDAR

Chinese LiDAR solutions provider Seyond has reached a significant milestone by winning a designated project from a leading joint-venture automaker. The selected models will feature Seyond’s Robin E1X LiDAR and are set for mass production in 2026.

This achievement highlights Seyond’s growing presence in the mainstream passenger vehicle market, showcasing its importance in the intelligent driving supply chain. The company’s technological strength and mass production capabilities have been recognized by a traditional automotive giant, paving the way for future collaborations.

The partner automaker, known for its market-leading sales, has granted Seyond exclusive supplier status for the project. This deal ensures the pre-installation scale of hundreds of thousands of units, solidifying the Robin E1X LiDAR’s position as a key component in the global automotive industry. The project also emphasizes the product’s maturity and cost competitiveness, making it appealing to a wider range of automakers.

The Robin E1X LiDAR boasts a maximum detection range of 250 meters, providing safety redundancy for high-speed navigation on autopilot. Its high-resolution imaging allows for precise identification of small objects at a distance, improving overall safety on the road. With low power consumption and a compact design, the unit can be easily integrated into various vehicle locations without compromising aesthetics or performance.

Seyond offers a dual product lineup, including the high-end Falcon series and the mass-market Robin series. The Falcon series, operating at 1,550nm wavelength, caters to the high-end market with longer detection ranges and advanced safety features. The Robin series, operating at 905nm wavelength, targets the mass market with cost-effective solutions and improved perception capabilities to meet new regulations.
