Autowise.ai Receives Autonomous Driving License in Shenzhen, China

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, Autowise.ai, a Chinese company specializing in artificial intelligence and autonomous driving technology, has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining a functional autonomous driving license in Shenzhen, China. This marks the company’s first license in the city and highlights its expansion within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Autowise.ai has now obtained road rights in several key cities in China, including Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing, as well as Hangzhou, Suzhou, Changsha, Hefei, and Wuxi. This extensive network covers China’s major urban centers.

Shenzhen, known for its technological innovation, has strict regulations for autonomous driving technology approval. Autowise.ai’s autonomous vehicle underwent rigorous testing across various scenarios to secure the road-use permit. The full-stack autonomous driving sweeper Autowise V3 passed numerous tests in closed environments, demonstrating stability and compliance. On urban roads, the vehicle uses advanced perception systems and decision-making algorithms to perform tasks such as autonomous start-stop, edge cleaning, obstacle avoidance, and more.

The Autowise V3 is currently operational in multiple districts of Shenzhen, covering major roads, secondary roads, and narrow streets. It operates efficiently for over six hours daily, serving areas such as Nanshan, Taoyuan, Huangbei, Dongxiao, Haishan, and Lianhua streets.

With impressive performance metrics, the Autowise V3 can work for five consecutive hours on a single charge, sweeping an area of 10,800 square meters per hour. This results in a significant increase in efficiency compared to manual labor, leading to a 40% reduction in operational costs for operators.
